Brown Mogotsi says ANC membership in good standing
Earlier, ANC's Fikile Mbalula stated that the party will never associate itself with Brown Mogotsi.
Controversial North West businessman Brown Mogotsi says he remains a member of the African National Congress (ANC) in good standing.
He says ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula’s utterance that his ANC membership has expired were unwarranted and simply overreach.
Mogotsi says he is ready and available to appear before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry as well the Parliamentary Ad Hoc Committee.
Mbalula told journalists last week that Mogotsi’s ANC membership had expired.

Mogotsi refutes Mbalula’s communication and utterances.
“But let me confirm something to you, I’m a member of the ANC in good standing. I have also attempted to send you some proof that membership only expires at the end of October but it is not the Secretary-General who has the power to do that, my branch, which I have communicated with and they are aware that my membership only expires at the end of October,” says Mogotsi.
Meanwhile, the ANC in the North West has told SABC News that Mogotsi is not its member despite reports that he said he is an ANC member in good standing.
Speaking on the sidelines of the party’s Special National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Boksburg east of Johannesburg, ANC North West Secretary, Louise Diremelo says Mogotsi’s membership expired in 2020 and has not been renewed since then.
