Urgent bid to interdict Limpopo ANC Conference dismissed
Limpopo African National Congress (ANC) Elective Conference begins on Friday.
The urgent application to interdict the Limpopo African National Congress (ANC) Elective Conference has been dismissed and struck off the roll due to lack of urgency by the High Court in Polokwane.
The court says the applicant Basil Mabasa did not follow the internal party processes to seek dispute resolution.
Judge Mashudu Tshivhase’s judgment paves the way for the 11th ANC provincial elective conference to proceed.
Mabasa had argued that there were irregularities in the running of the branch meeting in Malamulele, Collins Chabane sub-region, which nominated conference delegates.
Tshivhase ruled that each party, applicant and the respondents, will pay their own legal costs.
