PAC threatens to pull out of the GNU and in all its working arrangements with the ANC in Gauteng.
The Pan Africanist Congress of Azania (PAC) has threatened to pull out of the Government of National Unity (GNU) and in all its working arrangements with the African National Congress (ANC) in Gauteng municipalities and elsewhere.
This follows the ANC’s decision to remove the PAC’s representative from the Johannesburg Mayoral Committee and replace him with the Al Jama-ah’s Thapelo Amad.
On Thursday, Al Jama-ah filed a motion of no confidence in Mayor Dada Morero, but the PAC says the removal of its member has got nothing to do with service delivery, except with political factions in the ANC.
It says the ANC wanted to appease Al Jama-ah to withdraw its motion of no confidence on Morero.
The PAC will be withdrawing from working arrangements with the ANC starting in Gauteng.
This process will commence in Sedibeng District Council, followed by Emfuleni, and thereafter all municipalities in Gauteng.
