Court dismisses Mbeki and Zuma’s application in Khampepe matter
The court found that their failure to follow correct legal process rendered the application invalid.
The High Court has dismissed former Presidents Jacob Zuma and Thabo Mbeki’s application in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission cases inquiry matter.
The two had approached the court seeking the removal of retired Justice Sisi Khampepe from the inquiry, with Mbeki also asking for actions already taken by the commission to be set aside.
The court found that their failure to follow the correct legal process rendered the application invalid.
Zuma and Mbeki have also been ordered to pay legal costs.
